Seven months ago an ultra sound scan showed a nodule -which I was then going to have a fine needle biopsy on. However when I went in January for the FNB, the nodule had 'shrunk' and was too small, so another USS was arranged for four months later to re-check.
I've now had this check - and apparently the nodule has 'gone', reported as a 'resolving thyroiditis'.
Did going gluten free help? or does this happen anyway?
Best wishes to you all

Did you change your diet at all? There is usually a "cause" whether it be gluten or dairy or corn or a virus like Epstein-Barre, perhaps your immune system may have overcome a problem.
You could test for antibodies or even nutrients to see if anything there has improved.
Hi Heloise, yes l did- went gluten free last September as antibodies were low yet were rising. That's interesting, l will stay gluten free. I should get my latest blood results from medichecks later today, will be interesting to see antibodies result, will put them in a new post later, thanks.
I too had severall nodules that had mysteriously shrunk back in march and i did not have any of my previous problems, swallowing, breathless etc, my specialist said they can go up and down according to meds dosage whether its too high or low? But my probs have returned so i think they are back again but i know i have to lower my carbimazole. I too am gf and soya free as im celiac but if i were you i would remain gluten free.😊😊
Hi Rmichelle, yes l will stay gluten free- it's good to know how helpful it is. I was relieved when he said there was nothing to biopsy anymore, it's nice to feel we can improve our health by changing what we eat - empowering in a way.
