Just had recent blood results after going from NDT to Levothyroxin about 6 weeks ago.
TSH. 0.02 2.7 to 5.8
T3 5.8 3.1 to 6.8
T4 24 12 to 22
Not sure whether to drop down a little. I take 150 per day at the moment. Was thinking of taking 125 and 150 alternative days to bring dose down to average of 137.5 per day.
Any advice always welcome.

I agree, I would reduce your Levo to try and get FT4 into range. You may still not yet be stabilised from the changeover, but if your FT4 says high or goes higher, you risk making rT3.
I would retest in another few weeks to see how things are then, your levels might be quite different. I've found that I need 8 full weeks for my levels to stabilise and actually feel what difference the dose change has made.
Although it's generally advised on here to leave 24 hours between last dose of Levo and blood draw, I believe 12 hours would be fine and wouldn't give a false high.
I have read that serum T4 concentrations peak 2 to 4 hours after taking Levo and remain above normal for approximately 6 hours so I expect that your result would be your normal circulating level.
If you don’t mind I’ll defer answering this for a couple of weeks.
Reason being is it would seem I am slightly over medicated, to give an answer now would be based on an incorrect doseage. I have adjusted my dose slightly to compensate.
My apologies. I didn't see any symptoms in your initial post just test results hence asking how you are feeling but i understand with the changeover but no worries if you'd rather not say for the reasons you mentioned.
The only thing I can add is for 3 days I took a very small amount of T3, 1/8th of a 25 tablet first thing in the morning as an experiment.
The change was quite dramatic. Lethargy disappeared, mood uplifted, mind sharp. I was actually smiling on occasions, felt positive and calm.
I didn’t take any T3 yesterday or today. This morning feeling tired, negative and brain doesn’t feel so sharp. My overall energy levels and feeling of being able to fight the world have dropped.
This could all be in the mind of course, I also dropped my T4 last night, so that could be a factor as well.
I see. Sounds like you are still experimenting then but also seems like you feel more like it when you are taking T3. Hope you find the right combination soon.
You will not get the T3 lift on levo. I need a very suppressed TSH to get TFTS in normal range. My Ft3 and T3 have become more low normal. But my TPO ab have dropped to under 10 from 1000s. I didnt go gluten free or dairy free. Think taking 200mcg levo.is what did it but of course was lowered to 150mcg bc of suppressed 0.015 TSH. But it's still low w no health problems.
Hi can I ask as a newbie, does T3 give an instant lift? I.e if you’re not feeling great on dose of Levo one day for some reason and take T3 does it give a boost?
