Helping with dosage for Tr Tman

Hi All

I have received TR tman and would like to know about dosage if anyone can help. my most recent results are

TSH 3.45 (0.27-4.20)

T4 Total 105 (66-181)

Free T4 14.10 (12.0-22.0)

Free T3 4.29 (3.1-6.8)

Anti Thyroidperoxidase Abs 16.5 (<34)

Anti Thyroglobin Abs <10 (<115)

Are you taking levo at the moment?

Hi , No i am not taking any medication at the moment. My doctor refuses although blood test results show i was underactive. thanks

The usual recommendation is to start with 1 grain (60 mgs) then raise by 1/4 - 1/2 grain every two weeks or so. You should be keeping a daily journal (nothing fancy) listing 3 pm body temps and heart rate, NDT dosage, any other pertinent information and how you are feeling, generally. At six weeks, your dosage should be about 2 grains (120 mgs) and time then to get labs done.... Free T3, Free T 4, antibodies and check iron, B12 and D3.

If everything has gone well, you may still increase another time or two. Most end up dosing between 2 and 3 grains. Your journal will help you find your 'sweet spot' without going too far. Be sure to note the alleviation of any hypo symptoms. Mood, energy, sleep and digestion should show signs of improving.

If you begin to feel anxious, experience insomnia, elevated heart rate, body temp, time then to back down to a lower dose of NDT.
