Armour Thyroid & Thyroidinum 8x

Currently on Armour Thyroid (lowest dose). Was just told about HGH gel but it has Thyroidinum 8x in it. The Armour is derived from pig hormone and I read that the Thyroidinum is from sheep hormone. Has anyone ever used both at same time? Will I be getting too much t3 & t4 if I’m using both products at once?

Thyroidinum is a homeopathic treatment, isn't it? If so, I very much doubt it has any hormone in it. I've never heard of HGH gel, either, and wonder how it can exist, given that HGH has to be refrigerated at all times.

Yes, it's considered homeopathic. I imagine Armour is too and that works so much better than synthetic meds. Yes, there is a gel: newulife.com/products/hgh-gel/

No, Armour is definitely not considered homeopathic. Do you really know what homeopathic means? Homeopathic means diluted to such an extent that there is nothing left of the original substance. You can't do that with hormones.

So, I agree with Helena877 , I very much doubt that the HGH gel would work in any way. Although I disagree that HGH has potential catastrophic side-effects if you need to take it. If you don't need it, then you shouldn't take it, like all hormones. Why do you want HGH gel? HelenaO

Please stay positive with your comments. I'm here looking for advice, not to be criticized. I was researching the gel to relieve symptoms that even a healthy diet and the Armour haven't been able to: migraines during periods, unable to loose weight and slowly gaining over the years, broken sleep, achiness all over, hair loss, dry skin, lack of energy, etc....

Well, I'm sorry but I don't think there's much positive to say on this subject. If you're looking for natural products that might help, say so, but I'm pretty sure that homeopathic remedies cannot be classed as natural. And, this one says that it is based on synthetic HGH.

Of couse Armour works, because it contains hormone, and if you need hormones, the only thing to take is hormones. Have you had your HGH tested? If you are deficient you can get it prescribed in the UK. If you are deficient then getting HGH shots will most definitely help. I think that's a pretty positive thing to say, don't you? :)

I will try to stay positive but that sounds like big Pharma, my girlfriend takes both Armour and hgh Gel from Newulife and they work well together. The conversation comes up all the time about how she still got Hot Flashes with Armour, after 2 days on hgh Gel they were gone. Her Testimonial was more energy, lost 3 pounds first week, body temp much cooler, mood and her foot that had been hurting her for over 2 months quite hurting on day 3 and has been fine. I also take hgh gel as well and feel much more energy, knees feel even better than before and negative side my hair is growing and turning to black again. I shave my head so I am not too happy about that last part.

I doubt it works . One look at the website and all the affiliated sales, commissions etc just looks like pyramid selling. Red flag alert!!

So, how could a company feel comfortable trading in HGH when some of the potential side effects are catostrophic. I’ll tell you why - “homeopathic” diluted down to such an extent that there’s likely no HGH in it - maybe like trace elements.

Any reviews you find about it best to discredit as they’re all getting paid by this company in commissions.

Could you please list the potential side effects? I've been trying to find info on these. Thanks

Could you please list the potential side effects?

There is only one side effect of using homeopathic products - a depleted bank account.

Piper729 profile image
Piper729 in reply tohumanbean

I somewhat agree with your comment (as I once tried working with a homeopathic dr. with no results and a depleted bank account), but I've also used many natural products that have worked remarkably well. I use a natural progesterone cream that's amazing, a natural herb to reduce cholesterol, and a natural thyroid medicine all that work way better than synthetics without the horrible side affects. So what I'm hoping for is feedback from someone familiar with this product, rather than generalizations that all products don't work. Have you tried this particular HGH gel? Thank you in advance for your constructive feedback.

Can I ask what are the natural cholesterol lowering and thyroid herbs you are using?

This is one article on the effects of excess human growth hormone - albeit from within the body rather than taken as a medicine:

endocrineweb.com/conditions...

If the product contained measurable quantities of hormones, it would not be readily for sale.

Piper729 profile image
Piper729 in reply toHelena877

I found these potential side effects, but the sale rep, testimonials, and site claim just the opposite - that it's supposed to help with these things

Carpal tunnel syndrome.

Increased insulin resistance.

Swelling in the arms and legs (edema)

Joint and muscle pain.

Less common or rare

Carpal tunnel syndrome.

enlargement of breasts.

feeling sad or empty.

increased growth of birthmarks.

irritability.

joint pain.

loss of interest or pleasure.

muscle pain, cramps, or stiffness.

That is precisely what homoeopathic remedies claim - they say they address the issues that a significant amount of the substance causes. In this case, as you point out, these are some of the effects of an excess, and so the homoeopathic form (which contain no hormone) is claimed to resolve the issues.

Afraid I don't believe it.

I'd point out that a "natural progesterone cream" that actually contains progesterone is not homoeopathic. All too often there is a confusion between the ultra-dilute homoeopathic remedies and the other products that some homoeopaths have been known to supply or recommend.

Yes - these and also ....a condition called “acromegaly” from over use. Some body builders use HGH alongside other substances.

I understand the frustration with weight: I’m sure a lot on here do.

I got up to 3 grains on NDT with T3 way over range (some blood tests) and STILL not losing weight. I was infuriated as originally had shed weight on NDT with no dietary changes and still within ranges in blood tests.

So then I got to thinking there must be other factors at play and had my sex hormones tested. Testosterone was low so under Dr’s guidance I take a tiny dose. I did shed some weight but then plateau-ed. So, so annoying as my diet is thyroid friendly and I take all the suggested vitamins :-(

Further test on cortisol. Very high. So currently I’m on adaptogenic herbs and await to see if Dr will prescribe DHEA or some variation.

What your doing is best described as a fool’s errand. PLEASE don’t buy into this website’s claims. Have another blood test to see if you are actually deficient in anything / simply require more thyroid hormone. You’re on a small dose.

Homeopathic = quack remedies. The most common that springs to mind is the flower remedies. They don’t work!

Thank you. Seems we are all dealing with the same frustrations. This hypothyroid thing is for the birds! But then again, I would have pity on the birds.

Several things on that list could be down to being undermedicated. I would look into being on the correct dose of your thyroid meds first. Habecyou any recent bloods you can post?

Hi There - I am so glad I saw this post as you, like me, suffer likely from HypoThyroid and my Armor is hit or miss! I cannot take synthetic / synthroid or anything else as I get lock jaw and muscle craps. the HGH Thyroidinum 8x in the HGH Gel from New U can have the same side effects. A friend of mine is trying to sell me the HGH Gel - but until I have my HGH levels checked I am not sold!!! You risk it over running your Thyroid. The BEST and only Diet / Detox that works for me is the HCG Diet - but do the 700-800 Calories. It is to reset your metabolism, detox, sleep, and also cleanse. You are probably lacking vegetables and B12 & Potassium. I have tried it all - and being an Esthetician - I really paid close attention to what worked for me to reset my Thyroid....lots of Kale & spinach -stay away from breads and cheese - and limit alcohol!!!! I lost 14 pounds in 3 weeks on the HCG - it is not something you do continuously and my Endocronologist suggested it...I was super sketchy...it helped...and did NOT affect my Armor either...I hope this helps. Go to Amazon and get the HCG Diet - or google it...it works and resets your body!

Hey Piper! How goes the battle? I love how everyone says that science says the stuff can't work. Who am I to argue witu science? At the same time, after a month, I love it. And the haters can say " I get paid to like it" and I really don't give a rat's end. I also can't sell it to you. So the people that would say my opinion isn't worth a crap, to that end I say that theirs is about as valuable as mine.

If it aint the hgh in there that's working SOMETHING IN IT IS. I have a bit different reaction than most people who feel the energy shot. I seem to always get super relaxed to the point of being able to lay down in the middle of the day and sleep like a rock. Kind of a love/hate relationship right now. Lol I want the energy but it's putting me so relaxed and when I sleep it's so deep I wake up feeling like someone had given me a muscle relaxer. I take no medication. I have seen a uptick in metabolism. I haven't seen numbers on the SCALE DROP but I do notice my gut doesn't hang over my waist as much when standing in front of the mirror. I have classically been able to eat one good meal a day but no longer. I get hungry, like stomach growling hungry about once every 5-6 hours. It drew all the water out of my joints the first few days. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't stop peeing. One of our homeopaths said that that was C markers that I was peeing off. A precursor or indicator of inflammation. I was SO SORE the next few days. Cause I no longer had a water cushion for my inflamed joints. But after about 3 more days that soreness dissipated. My hair is growing out more quickly and because maybe of placement, I see a uptick in testosterone. Nothing you would worry about but def welcome by me. Things are functioning better than they have in some time and there actually seems to be some gains in certain area. That is not a listed potential benefit, but seems to be something happening nonetheless. Aside from the "ugh" of being SO RELAXED after I take it, the SLEEP IS INCREDIBLE. It makes sense though really. I have been told the body knows exactly what to start working on when it gets it. And so if it is putting me to sleep it must need me in deep sleep to begin to repair some things INTERNALLY that I have no idea is wrong or deficient of. You can't get this stuff in UK though. Only US. I also noticed one other thing I forgot. Eye crusties! I remember getting them as a kid. As 44 year old I haven't experienced eye crusties for YEARS after sleep. It's kind of neat experiencing them again. It is actually a way your body detoxes I read. So, yay. I wouldn't have any reservations taking it but you should consult your physician if you are concerned. Course, to listen in here, it is a big bottle of nothing. So, if there's nothing in there there's nothing going to harm you I guess. Lol

To the one who was suspicious due to it being SYNTHETIC....of COURSE it is SYNTHETIC. All somatropin is SYNTHETIC. The only way it could be NATURAL would be to SOURCE IT FROM A HUMAN and that would be MOST disturbing. I feel as long as it isn't harming me, which it isn't and as long as I keep seeing positive changes in my body- I'm locked in and I'm going to keep using it. No apologies. (To the naysayers and mockers and scoffers that is.)

But def check and MAKE SURE that no ingredient in there, especially the thyroidium dosage increase when combined- will be in any way detrimental. It's made so that it's a low enough dose as not to interfere with other meds. But that's a dog whistle to those who do not understand the benefits of microdosing over macro dosing. True. It takes longer to work than the big dose shots but it also doesn't fatigue your system. It's tortoise vs hair.

I have hashimoto's and hypothyroidism. The HGH gel has helped me tremendously. I have energy and a boosted metabolism; no more brain fog; sleep quality is way above the benchmark for others in my age range; libido; and age spots are disappearing.
