Dear All,

I’ve spoken to my Endocrinologist and I’m looking to possibly starting on either Armour or ERFA thyroid. Does anyone have experience of both and which one is the best one to take? Thank you

Armour is a lot more expensive than Erfa.

Thank you. Yes I understand that ERFA is cheaper, that isn’t a problem. I just want a medication that makes an impact and difference.

I haven't been on either for many years but when I took Armour I felt better than when I was on Erfa. I was self medicating and so self funding.I managed to lose 3 stone without too much trouble on Armour. Something which had never happened since I gained it all at the beginning of my hypothyroid merry go round.

I did notice more hair falling out though.

Everyone is different, so what suits one person, may not suit the next.

Good luck.

Hair loss for me too on Armour. Did yours grow back?

Unfortunately not. I am almost bald at the front now.

For me Erfa has been the best. Neither, I find, have been as good as WP Thyroid by RLC Labs, was. But this is not an option now.

I’ve been taking ERFA for almost 4 weeks now. 1.5grains. I have been feeling very nauseous and bitter taste in mouth. Anyone had anything similar ?
