I tried but they only had liquid T3. They wouldn't sell it to me as I'd been taking tablets.

Yes, I went into a farmacia and that’s what they had ... The lady was willing to sell me some as I had a packet of Tiromel on me .. 13euros for a little 20ml bottle ... Has anyone used this stuff before?

It's called Liotir and it's T3 suspended in alcohol. I use it all the time because many tablet forms don't agree with me. Very easy to control the dose. One drop equals one mcg.

The bottle was 20ml I think ... So how many drops do you get out of that? I take 100mcg’s (4x25mcg Tiromel pills) a day ... I’d have to take 100 drops!! Lol

We have seen mixed reports. Some suggest that they can get one bottle of Liotir easily enough but not more. I wouldn't want to rely on being able to buy it over the counter.

As said the pharmacist was happy to sell it to me as she accepted I was using T3 when showing her my box of Tiromel and our following discussion on Levo etc.

In a city there are loads of chemists so you can have a stroll and buy one bottle in each one. Alternatively get a letter from your gp/endo which explains you are taking the medication. Get the letter translated you should be able to buy more bottles in one transaction. I think you get 560mcg per bottle. So if you're taking large doses probably not the cheapest way to buy T3.
