Levothyroxine and supplements

I take 100mg levothyroxine every morning and I also take a bucketful of supplements (as ttc with ivf). Are there any supplements I should avoid taking close to levothyroxine? I take:

Pregnacare multivitamin

200mcg selenium

1000 mcg folate

600 mg ubiquinol

75 mg DHEA

1000IU vitamin D (but sometimes up to 3000IU)

Thanks in advance :)

From your list, Vit D should be taken 4 hours away from Levo. D3 should be taken with the fattiest meal of the day. There are also important cofactors needed when taking D3 - magnesium and Vit K2-mk7 vitamindcouncil.org/about-v...

Everything else 2 hours away.

You might find it easiest to take your levothyroxine before bed to keep it well away from everything else.

I always leave a good gap between thyroid hormones and vitamins/minerals. I take vits/minerals at lunchtime as most have to be taken with food.

That's a good idea, I am going to start doing that - vitamins at lunchtime! I have always taken my vits with my breakfast like on autopilot. It's going to be lunchtime from now on.

If TTC your TSH needs to be under 2.

B12 or Vitamin B complex may be needed too

B12 is important for baby's development

Do you have Hashimoto's?

If so are you on strictly gluten free diet? Or tried it

Thank you slowdragon! I do have Hashimotos and this was eventually diagnosed as I wad having problems ttc. My TSH is now well below 2 and has been since I went on levothyroxine in 2015, at times it's been suppressed but I have refused to have my levo reduced (except for once which was a disaster) as my endo asked for my T4 to be above 17 and it's always around 17 on 100mg.

As soon as I found out I have Hashimotos in 2015 I went strictly gluten free.

I used to take a B vitamin complex and I stopped taking this for a reason which I now cannot remember! Will look into this again.

Thank you so much for all your advice!

You are right to refuse a reduction. Why do they give suppressed doses to people who've had thyroid cancer. I doubt they develop heart disease.
