Hi all again

I have now been taking floravital 20 mls once a day iron liquid with added b vitamins in for 2 and half months and been feeling a little better sympton wise.

Ferritin 27 28-200range-it has taken me 2 months to increase to 27 from 10 in january-i think maybe i need the same sort of iron but stronger dose from the gp? How long should it take to rise to a decent level?- i know we are all different -it does say consider referring to gastro on my notes-i am celiac so i think a referral would be wise pushing with my gp, even though gp has brushed it under the carpet for now-surprise surprise !! I just think if it was a stronger dose i would get there quicker.🌟🌟xx

Hi Samy3-my gp wrote to me to say i was anemic at 10 as it was below range but he did prescribe me 2 lots of supps but i found the type of iron he prescribed i could not take, im happy on my iron as it does have everything in it including vit c but it is taking too long to build up, hence this is whyvi need referring to a specialist like the labs note suggested as im celiac and maybe a absorption problem-i think i need to see gp. Thankyou .xx

Please read about iron on gotmag.org which will give you an insight and show you how you need to have the other iron tests done too. Good luck

I thought ferritin was iron?

Yes but that is only one test in the complete iron panel. Diagnosis on that alone is not recommended. Please look at that site and inform yourself.

I use Active Iron tablets. You can buy them from Amazon.
