Mirena coil and thyroid disease

I hade a coil fited in November and in feb got diagnosed with an overactive thyroid whilst on medication had another blood test that then came back underactive . I have another blood test booked in soon but I am starting to think if there is a connection between the two has any one else exsperianced this? I’m thinking of taking it out to see if it Sorts it’s self out

You have got me wondering now Claire too. I had a new coil fitted near end of January and have gone from feeling around 40% to 0% most days . Will follow post with interest 🧐

I just thought ide give you an update I hade my coil removed about 4 weeks ago and since having it taken out I no longer feel easily irritated or short tempered but full of life and I have actually been able to start to run again hope this is helpful to you and hope you feel better soon to 🙂

I had mine fitted Nov 16, put the fatigue down to the weather and SAD, I started to up my T3 by 5mcg for the week before I was due on which helped. I use PinkPad to remember as I’m period free practically and wouldn’t go back or have it removed.
