How long wait before blood retest ?

Hi all, so my last blood tests showed borderline low Ft4 and ft3, how long should I wait before I get retested ? Not on any medication.💟

Ask your GP to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 now

Or get these tested privately.

If they need supplementing then retest vitamins and thyroid in 6 weeks after vitamins have been supplemented for at least a month

Vitamin D should be around 100nmol ideally

B12 at least over 500

Ferritin and folate halfway in range

My doctor did my vit D etc. as part of my checks so that shouldn't be a problem. I was borderline and was told to get retested in 3 months. x

You can self supplement vitamin D. Important to have good levels if on Levothyroxine

What was your result.

NHS are not obliged to treat until actually deficient

Tsh 0.886 ( 0.27-4.20)

Ft4 12.5 (12.00-22.00)

Ft3 3.81 ( 3.10- 6.80)

I'm not on any medication at the moment still trying to get a diagnosis at this stage, x
