How long should I wait before annoying the GP again?

I last had blood tests done via the GP on the 23rd of August.

I was up again requesting some more blood tests about 2 weeks ago as well as an Ultrasound on thyroid.

I have received an appointment for my Ultrasound but still no appointments for bloods. Do they have a specific period of time in between blood tests?

I have not had a diagnosis yet. And i hate being a pest if they have to wait about a month before they can test again.

Thanks

That's good news about the Ultrasound scan. Do you have any results from your 23 August blood tests? Could you add them to your post with full details please? Numbers with ranges in brackets and any comments added by lab or doctor. Then people can make informed comment.

Yes , it may be a little soon for more blood tests. Depends on results really and whether or not new medication or supplements were started (or any current medication had dose change) following results.

Did you have Thyroid Antibodies blood tests? Did you have Vitamin D etc.

ps

Just read an old post of yours and see your Antibodies were OK. So no evidence of Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis yet.

Have you ever had Adrenals checked.

If you still living haven't had blood test for Vitamin D levels then ask GP ?

Did you have bone & Kidney tests? Do you have your Calcium and Phosphorus results ? Do you have your sodium and potassium results are they all ok? In range?

Hi, i had liver function tests and my Sodium was 139 (133-146), Potassium was 4.3 (3.5 - 5.3)

I did not get calcium test done.

As you can see your sodium and potassium are ok. Have you checked your Liver Function results - are they all in range?

Do you have a date yet for Pernicious Anemia test?

Also for Ultrasound scan? Will that be of your Thyroid and Parathyroids?

When is Vitamin D test to be done? I think it is important to report all bone and joint pain.

Calcium & Phosphorus tests haven't been done yet? Ask for these ??

I would keep going back to GP.

A month ago your Medichecks results showed low B12 and below range folate

Did GP do futher tests for Pernicious Anaemia before starting folic acid supplements? Are you also prescribed B12 injections?

Have you had vitamin D tested?

If not get it tested asap

The GP just prescribed folic acid but i have not started taking them yet as I did not want to supplement before next lot of tests.

Im still waiting for an appointment through for the PA test and vit D. I just was not sure if I should chase it up. As GP said that due to me having had full blood count test done not long ago, i would need to wait for a i think she said a month before i could have them done again.

Im sure she said she would request the vit D test also.

Make another appointment to request testing for Pernicious Anaemia before starting any folic acid and vitamin D test

Or get NHS postal vitamin D test

vitamindtest.org.uk

Post results once you get them. You could start vitamin D supplements if results are low

I will do Slowdragon.

Do you think if they find anything in the Ultrasound they will tell me there and then, or send results GP.

I dont know if this is all part of whatever is happening to my body, but i am getting constant pains now in back, groin and wrist! It is really sore but I dont want to go back to GP about pains as well as all the other tests.

Bone and joint pain is often low vitamin D

Ask the ultrasound operator they may tell you

Just out if Ultrasound and he advised all ok. I just had an us on the full neck.

Does this rule out any thyroid issues then?
