Zinc and weight loss

udaipurtimes.com/honey-zinc...

There are occasionally posts here about the challenges of losing weight with an under par thyroid.

Having dosed up well on zinc and then stopped for 3 months and now use 20mg chelated zinc within a multi vit, I would say zinc is just as critical as magnesium and B vits as part of keeping healthy and at the same time weight loss efforts.

The single thing I notice is raised basal temprature on waking ie better sleep and less cortisol. I do not think it in any way does the things magnesium does over improving muscle strength, cramps and aerobic ability but has other vital functions that work Alongside magnesium.

The pain of a less effective thyroid (and getting older!) is that it seems you have to work harder and harder to stand still.

Anyone else use any more than 20mgs zinc, having moved from 15 to 20 has helped - not sure if upping again to 25-35 mg range would help even more?

I now realise with magnesium for example there is very much an upper limit that is comfortable if I take a 250mg supplement, I can’t be quite so liberal with the magnesium oil spraying.
