I've recently been prescribed t3 on the NHS by my endocrinologist for a trial period after being on levo for 7 yrs and never feeling completely well on it finally they agreed to give me a trial of t3 and after only 3 weeks I'm already feeling much better but I'm worried that after the trial period that they will not let me keep it as endo has already asked if I could go private and pay for t3 myself I have said there is no chance of paying for it myself as my husband is a pensioner and I haven't worked since I had RAI, I know getting t3 on the NHS is as rare as hens teeth because of the cost so I would like to find my own source as really don't want to go back on just t4 again and live a half life again so if any of you good people on here could share your source I would be eternally grateful, by private message as per forum rules, thanking you all

If you have to temporarily get private prescription then you can get French or German T3 cheaply at roughly £25-£30 for 100 tablets

Hi
You could could consider ndt- I found it much better-less additives for me at least.
I had my t3 taken off me over a year ago and my level previously was nil. But so did everyone in my area I understand due to cost.
I had a life threatening illness but it made no difference- just withdrawn. My specialist wrote and they never even answered. Yes I can get a private prescription but at £200 pm I think not.
Sorry to say if it’s withdrawn you will have to buy it. It’s a pain and when I am home I will send a link. Most are sold out.
Best wishes
