I’ve been given Omeprozole & Naproxen for severe back pain. I’ve been taking my Nature-throid & other meds a couple of hours before the omeprozole (Not that I’ve been told too, but on assumption it would affect the absorption of other meds) and then the Naproxen 30 mins or so after that, but of course I’m struggling to get moving about without pain in the morning!
Any ideas on the best way to do this? Am I better
Off takin my thyroid meds of a night and The Omeprazole in the morning???

Taking thyroid meds at night and omoprazole in the morning sounds like a good idea. Omprazole is known to lower levels of thyroid hormone in your system, so if an alternative that isn't a proton pump inhibiter, PPI , is available it could be worth changing. Omoprazole also lowers levels of B12 because it lowers the stomach acid needed to liberate B12 from your food, so B12 levels need to bemonitored.
The Gp hasn't even mentioned this...mind you, he never even mentioned that I should be wary of when I take it, along with my thyroid meds! Is it worth me taking a b complex or separate B12 du think????
From memory the information sheet with omoprazole warns about continued use and B12 so point it out to gp. As for supplimenting, you can run into trouble with an excess amount so you do need to test first.
