Liothyronine changes
Ruby13,
Morningside Healthcare and Teva supply Liothyronine as well as Mercury Pharma now. If the brand you've been switched to doesn't suit tell your pharmacist you would like to be switched back to the previous make when your next prescription is dispensed. If the pharmacist isn't helpful ask for the prescription form back and take it elsewhere.
Please also make a yellow card report about the brand causing adverse effects. yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/
I tried both and felt more symptomatic, so the pharmacist ordered mercury pharma again.
My last lot was Morningside and I am now taking 100 instead of 80. Jo xx
Thanks guys , I went too GP too request morrningside Brans as the others didn’t suit me , so will wait & see if that’s what I get next month .
I was doing brilliantly on Mercury Pharma Liothyronine. They changed me to Teva and I’ve gone downhill fast.
