Yes!! I had Morningside T3 and got bad headaches! I only took it for a short time and asked my pharmacist not to supply that again next time, but to go back to the Concordia T3.,
I am now getting Concordia T3 with no problem.
Don’t be fooled by the argument that you were given a new brand as Concordia was way too expensive. The crazy thing is that both the new brands are a similar high price. Granted, they are cheaper than Concordia, but only a smidge cheaper! I am convinced the prices of the other two have been fixed to satisfy the Competition & Markets Authority who no doubtcwill have to investigate. When it is found that there are now 3 suppliers in the marketplace , no doubt it will be determined that there is no competition and all wil l be left alone. I am writing to my MP and Department of Health about this.
There used to be something called The Monopoly Commission in the UK has that changed? It worked well at times too.
20p cheaper, actually... Laughable, isn't it?
Yes it would be laughable if it wasn’t so serious!
Basically Bunnyjean there is a Government body looking into the T3 scandal. It is the MHRA. In November they provisionally found that Concordia had abused their position as the sole supplier of T3 and had charged an unfairly high price. The timing of that decision is unfortunate though, because there is no mention of Morningside and Teva which only recently came on the scene charging a sinilar price.
There is something very wrong happening now. I think there is corruption in the NHS, as someone is allowing this to happen. Please write to your MPs and complain about this appalling waste of NHS money. All British T3 prescriptions should immediately be stopped and replaced with French or German T3 sources stva fraction of the price.
Hi,
I was given Morningside T3 for the first time a few months ago.Initially when I took them I had migraines for 2 weeks.I had some of the Mercury T3 left,so took them for a couple of weeks, however my migraines were still there, not so bad though. I then had to go back on the Morningside as this was all I had left, and have been on them ever since, about 3 months. I am o.k. on them now, and have come to the conclusion that it is not which T3 I take but swapping from one to the other doesn't do me any favours.,so I will try to stick to them if the Pharmacist can get them.We never had this problem before because there was only 1 brand!. I am the same with the Thyroxine, I need to keep to the same brand.
