At my medication review the pharmacist attached to my medical centre insisted that my hair loss is due to thyroxine and not the Hashi.s

Any opinions ?

Ellj,

Some people do experience hair loss because of Levothyroxine.

Thanks Clutter, in that case I think it might be that my thyroxine has been changed

Don't tell you do on NDT too?

Annealise,

If you are optimally dosed on NDT and still having hair loss perhaps you should try a different brand.

That's rather dogmatic of her. How does she know? Hair-loss from levo is supposed to be only temporary. How long have you been on it?

Not so much an opinion as a question. As she is so certain, what does she suggest you do about it? It is all very well making a dogmatic statement about cause, but being told what sensible steps you can take to overcome it is far more useful.

No suggestion how to prevent/treat improve....just told it will probably be cyclical :(
