Hi I am new, I had Hashimotos diagnosed 4 years ago and I take levothyroxin

Currently taking 100mcg levothyroxin and I also have stage 3 adrenal fatigue and polycystic ovary syndrome

Feel very alone with this illness, partner gets upset when I have low libido, I sleep all the time etc

I have trouble concentrating, feel cold very easily

Advice appreciated

FT3 3.2 (3.1 - 6.8)

Welcome to the forum, Kazaal.

You are undermedicated on 100mcg to have TSH over range. Ask your GP to increase dose.

The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.2 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email dionne.fulcher@thyroiduk.org if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.

Thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Levothyroxine treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.

Kazaal,

I suggest you write a new post asking members how they deal with adrenal fatigue.

Not if people don't know

Kazaal,

Lots of members say they have adrenal fatigue. If you ask they'll tell you how they treat it.

You are very under medicated

High antibodies is Hashimoto's

PCOS and Hashimoto's are linked
