Can anyone explain ?
The 2 nodules that I need biopsies on. 1 of them is more than 1/2 the size of the thyroid lobe it’s in. My left lobe is larger than right lobe ?
Also it says they are vascular. What does this mean?
Thanks in advance

Mmj1030,
Thyroid lobes usually are different sizes just as hands and feet are slightly different sizes. If the nodule is >1.5-2.0cm it is protocol to do a fine needle aspiration biopsy to rule out malignancy. A vascular nodule has it's own blood flow which may increase risk of malignancy.
Please don't be anxious. 95% of thyroid nodules are benign.
Thank you. I am scared. My neck has felt funny for a year. All drs thought it was swollen lymph node- it wasn’t - my carotid is inflamed on same side as nodules.
I have neurological symptoms I my left side from Lyme disease (they say)
Can I ask you one more question please clutter...
I stopped taking taking .25 of synthroid pretty abruptly. I took 1/2 a pill a couple days and then stopped because the migraines were suicidal.
My arms and legs went numb after 4 weeks being off meds. Then it all turned to joint pain.
I just wonder if this could be the cause? Have you ever heard of anyone else going thru this?
Again I’m told it’s Lyme related. I got back on nature thyroid just in case. Seem to do better on that one.
Lyme diagnosis is controversial because of CDC. Infectious disease doc says I have it.
