I have at last received ndt. It cost a lot but as I have high t4 and borderline t3 I decided to give ndt 1 grain a go. Do I need to take t4 too.

It says ndt I'd made up of:

38 mcg t4 and 9mcg t3

What is your current dose of T4 ?

3 months ago you were asked for your thyroid results - have you posted them ? Also did you have the suggested tests for B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD ? NDT or T3 or Levo do not work well in the body if levels are low. Best to prepare the foundations before embarking on something new ....

Serum ferritin 99/ 13-200

Folate/ 4.4/ 3.9 - 26.80ug/L

Vit D. 65.0

I hope this helps. Tganks

Ferritin is good. Folate needs to be mid range. B12 - no result ! VitD - are you supplementing ?

What dose of Levo are you taking ? No Thyroid results above in your reply !

Are you in UK, if so vitamin D is too low. Supplement to improve to around 100nmol

Folate looks low, so very important to test B12 too. They work together

As Marz says, also need to test TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus antibodies too

My but D blood result is 65 but it didn't include range. Yes I'm in the UK. I'd appreciate ranges used by Salford hospital UK.
