12/ 1: TSH 1.65, ( 0.34-4.82 ulu/ml). freeT4 0.99, (0.76-1.80 ng/dL)

Free T3. 2.59, (2.3-4.2pg/mL)

12/15: TSH 0.55, Free T3, 3.7, Free T4, 1.0

I’m flushed with 103 pulse. Could I be in danger of a thyroid storm from the stress? I don’t know if I should take the prednisone or not. I have a beta blocker I could take.

Mstiles,

Your thyroid levels are currently euthyroid (normal) not hyperthyroid but TSH has dropped quite a bit and FT3 risen in only two weeks so you may be becoming hyperthyroid and should have another thyroid test in 3 or 4 weeks.

Thyroid storm is a life-threatening health condition that is associated with untreated or undertreated hyperthyroidism. During thyroid storm, an individual's heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature can soar to dangerously high levels.12 Dec 2017

Thanks clutter

I’m seeing the endo today.

Don’t know if you saw my earlier post about taking prednisone and thyroid. That is complicating things

Being hyper can also bump your pulse up, and make you feel overheated. You were on methimazole, did they do any antibody tests ?

Yes I’m positive for both TSI and TPO antibodies.

So definitely looks like Graves’(sorry for checking, but in the Uk we appear to have an epidemic of Hashi’s sufferers being told they are hyper !You can have hashis and graves’ , someone here will probably be able to check that if you provide the numbers).

When I was at my worst with Graves’, my pulse rate was regularly 95 when sitting reading or watching the television , so it didn’t take much to tip it over 100. That’s one of the reasons they are so keen to treat hyper symptoms .

What did your endo suggest ?
