Balance problems can be caused by low B12. Best above 500 and preferably at 900-1000.

Once you have optimal levels of B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD it could improve your conversion of T4 into the Active hormone T3. It takes time - but time well spent. However if you have TPO and Tg anti-bodies you will need treatment to support the thyroid ....

It looks like you might have thyroid problems so I would pursue it.

Have your antibodies checked as it can be genetic.

Oh for goodness sake, your GP is a ruddy donkey!

Ask him where he went to school and did he skip all the maths lessons.

Tell him that > means greater than so therefore your antibodies are greater than 1400 with a range with an upper limit of 34. Then tell him that makes them positive.

You raised antibodies confirm autoimmune thyroiditis aka Hashimoto's. Along with your over range TSH you should now be started on Levothyroxine.

See another GP at the practice quickly.

This result confirms Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis

How can your GP say negative - does he not understand the More Than symbol > - when the results need to be Less Than < ....

>1400 = POSITIVE for Hashimotos

You have Hashimoto's so need thyroxine.
