Hello everyone.
Been a while since I last posted asking for advice.
Right the thing is even though as the title says I'm feeling fine. I've had letters firstly from the endo and then from my gp a few days later, I might add that this is very strange from them as they couldn't usually organise a p155 up in a brewery.
I'm currently taking 1.5 grains of ndt (greater pharma) and 25mcg of T3 and really couldn't complain much about anything other than some slight blurred vision now and then so I'm planning on dropping the. 5 grain of ndt as I've been slowly reducing for while at the same time just trying to listen to my body. I've even seemed to have gotten some control back over weight management and temperature control. I used to always be way to hot even when overs were freezing, I seem to be normal enough there. The headaches in the morning have gone. In a nutshell I feel fine.
Here comes the but, had a routine blood test about 3 weeks to a month ago and just thought nothing of it as I've been going the way I am for a while now with no issues. Then got the letter from the endo asking me to contact my gp which I didn't get round to doing before the gp letter came.
The gp states that my t4 to be normal at 6 but my tsh is raised at 14. They have concerns, asking me what I'm taking for treatment as they now have only just realised I haven't collected my prescription in over a year lol......
I obviously plan to contact my gp next week but I found it strange that my tsh is raised. I expected it to be suppressed from the t3 and also as I feel fine I expected it to be low and everything else high.
So sorry for the very long and poorly structured post but has anyone got any thoughts on the current results or advice on how I should proceed when contacting my gp? I plan on telling them that I self medicate with t3 and ndt because they refused to let me supplement t4 with t3 and if they wish for me to adjust my dose on their say so I would prefer if they would do a full thyroid panel along with antibodies first.
Thoughts and advice always greatly received
