I am a thyroiditis (they say it was due to viral ) patient suffering from hypothyroidism having a roller coaster ride of TSH value from .01 to 3 for the past 6 years . Frequently I am getting muscle aches mainly in the thigh area which even restricts movement for few days . Also always prone to skin Rashes which hardly goes off with medicine. Any one has experienced such symptoms?? Is this an outcome of being hypo ? Is there any cure for this struggle ? I would greatly appreciate if someone could share their thoughts. Taking Levo 25/50 alternate days .
TSH- 2.5 (0.35- 5)
VitD- 50. (30-70)
B12. 717. (211-911 pg/ml)
FT4. 1.6ng/dl. (0.8. -2. )
FT3. 2.6pg/ml. (1.7. -4.2 )
All within the reference range

You are a little undermedicated to have TSH 2.5. FT4 and FT3 aren't too high so there is scope to increase dose to 50mcg daily to see whether symptoms improve.
The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.35 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Have thyroid antibodies, thyroid peroxidase (TPOab) and thyroglobulin (TgAb), been tested to confirm or rule out autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's) causing hypothyroidism?
Thank you for the reply . I was taking 50 mcg for the previous 3 years but TSH went down to .01 and started showing symptoms like rapid pulse rate etc.But can dermatitis and muscle pain is related to thyroid issues ??All the antibodys are negative.
