Hypothyroid questions, low t4, normal TSH, normal t3.

Here goes. My symptoms are: Brain fog, low vitamin d and b12 (i'm not anemic), RLS, essential tremor, ataxia, fatigue, eye floaters, bloating, constipation, cold hands and feet, cold sensitivity, post nasal drip, lump in throat (when I'm sick this is so bad that I can't sleep), tightness when singing like there's a marble there. Here's the kicker, my free t4 is .64 (almost of my local lab's range),my tsh is 1.5, and my t3 is 3.4 (normal). My ultrasound showed slightly abnormal shape, and increased blood flow. I went to the endocrinologist and had me at 25 mcg for months. I've basically stopped going there but am going to get the 25 script and start at 50mcg by taking 2 together. Is Hypothyroidism my problem? Here are my tsh results, my t4 from what I could find was highest at 1.24. Every result has been below 1.24. 1.24 t4 was with the September 18th TSH of 3.2. Please respond.

I felt NO difference at 25 mcg.

Please can you add the ranges to your results. 25mcg is a starter dose for the elderly or heart sufferers and should be increased after six weeks.

Are you on B12 injections for the neurological symptoms ?

in reply toMarz

Ranges for TSH .4 - 5.3 which is ridiculous...

t4 is .61 - 2.00

T3 is 2.5 - 3.9

Sorry I find your results difficult to read - can you post the very latest TSH - FT4 - FT3 with ranges after.

No thyroid anti-bodies tested ?

I also asked about B12 treatment in my reply. VitD treatment ?

in reply toMarz

Sorry I forgot to mention, the results I posted are not metric, I live in the states. So the results are in the standard or imperial system, here are the latest.

Tsh - 1.580 uIU/mL Range - 0.450-5.330 uIU/mL (Imperial)

T4 - 0.64 ng/dL Range - 0.61-2.00 ng/dL (Imperial)

T3 - 3.4 pg/mL Range - 2.5-3.9 pg/mL (Imperial)

My Thyroid antibody (TPO) is 22 Range - 0-100 U (Imperial)

TGAb Antibody - <0.9 IU/mL Range - 0.0-4.0 IU/mL

Ferritin - 75 ng/mL Range - 24-336 ng/mL

Folate - 15.3 ng/mL Range - 7.0 - 31.4 ng/mL (This was 2 years ago, same symptoms then).

Didn't really follow through with the vitamin b12, but I did take vitamin D. No difference.

I'm really confused as I'm seeing just one result at each date so is that TSH or what?

Vit D what have you been told to do? Quite often the dose is so low that it won't make any difference

in reply tosilverfox7

Those are all the latest results for TSH, T4, and T3. I took vitamin D and got it to acceptable range. My levels were adequate after 2 months of supplementation. However, I felt no difference.
