I've been reading up on this in the battle against Hashis. I think maybe the oil is the easiest way to get a daily dose but was wondering about others' experience?

I do so believe in natural remedies - theres something for eveything out there....just have to find it :)

Just as a postscript - I did search other posts about Nigella but there was very little info. The article I read was a trial for reducing antibodies and certainly appeared to work.

Darn - I'm searching for the article I read - will post the link if I ever find it again!

Thanks bluepettals2 - I'm going to try the capsules (fingers crossed)

It's best and cheaper if you take it in its pure form opposite to capsules. Make sure also not to overdose on it as it can be quite toxic in bigger amounts max.1-3 tsp of oil or 7 tsp of seeds.

Personally I'm not sure if it had any significant effect on my Hashi symptoms but definitely helped with my hair to grow faster and my skin got a bit clearer

I've ordered seeds but have no idea how I'm going to use them. Any suggestions would be considered lol

You can chew on them, add it to your smoothie (blend it together in a mixer) or sprinkle over salad. I usually use about 2 tsp

If you use it for your hair you can also make a mask by rubbing small amount into your roots and scalp. Leave it overnight if possible then wash it off.

I searched their site but they were mainly about oil and the only comment I found on seed was 'you can add them to almost any dish' (my hubby would object to violating his rice pud though lol)

Thanks blue - I've emailed the company

I'm sure there have been other posts about this, with people saying it's not all it's cracked up to be. Because I remember thinking about trying this - well, I actually bought the seeds, and use them sometimes because they taste nice - but the comments on here dampened my enthusiasm.

It was the research that grabbed my interest. If it can reduce antibodies I figured it was worth a try. But you have to be dedicated and give it some time :)

If all it does is reduce antibodies, then it's not much help for me. My thyroid is as good as dead, so the antibodies aren't a problem. :)

Morning 😊. Just wondering how Black seed is going ?

I've just had bit of an experience with it !

I took black seed capsule last month for a week ( did experience Palpatations ). Was able to reduce thyroxine almost immediately. Stopped black seed as felt to hyper. ( Used to be Hyper. now Hypo. after Radioiodine ). Body completely crashed 10 days ago - gone from TSH 1.1 - to TSH 40.90 !!

I think Black seed works like potent T3

Also I have active Graves antibodies - there never seems to be enough info on this unfortunately

Hope you're doing good on yours ? 🙂
