Thin black lines on thumb
Do you have a thyroid condition? I've never heard of this connected to any thyroid condition.
Do you mean under the nail?Is so,vertical or horizontal?
Hi, I have hypothyroidism (diagnosed at 6 months) and have had similar marks when under-treated. They don’t hurt and seem to ‘grow out’.
I have these thin black lines through my fingers at times ... they don’t stay though. I have an under active thyroid and fibromyalgia... if I find out I will let you know 🤔
Could you caught your thumb in a door or accidentally hit it with something? The black lines may be old blood under the thumbnail or under the skin or wherever it is from a forgotten injury. We would really need to see a picture to have any hope of offering sensible suggestions.
I've had blood under a thumbnail in the past that took ages to go because the blood moved with the nail, and I had to grow out the damage.
Is anybody getting joint pains? I keep getting a very painful left knee , I’m on Activis , also pain in my left side under my ribs
If you add a photograph to your original post in this thread, I expect you will get responses from people who recognise what you have.
