Help! Advice needed and where can I get T3?

Hi,

I haven’t posted in a while, and I’m looking for advice and guidance.

I was wondering if you can help me. I have been diagnosed with an under active thyroid for over 12 years. I am currently on 100mg levothyroxine during the week, and 75mg on weekends.

I have attached my latest blood tests below.

My endocrinologist says all my levels are in range, but I am seriously struggling with the symptoms.

I frequently see an acupuncturist , who advised it may be because my ft3 is a little on the low side.

So I am thinking of self medicating, and adding in T3. Does anyone know a reputable supplier?

My other results are as follows:

Serum Free T4: 23.2pmol/L (12.0-22.0) high

Serum TSH: 0.82 mid/L (0.27 - 4.2)

Anti TPO Ab: 12 iu/ mL (0 - 34)

Serum Free T3: 3.8pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8)

On a slightly different note, I have also had a Adrenal Stress profile (Saliva) done. This is because my acupuncturist thought I may have adrenal issues.

The results showed that the cortisol levels post waking and +4 hours after waking were high. The rest were in range.

They were as follows:

Sample 1 (post awakening): 9.60 (2.68-9.30 mnol/L)

Sample 2 (+4-5 hours): 3.15 (0.75 - 2.93 mnol/L)

Sample 3 (+4-5 hours): 1.66 (0.36 - 1.88 mnol/L)

Sample 4 (prior to sleep): 0.39 (<=0.94h)

Could my adrenals be causing my thyroid symptoms? The dr who reviewed the results has prescribed me 25mg of Pregnenolone, but I’m a bit apprehensive about taking them without seeking advice first?

Please help!
