Morning all, can I have some options on my latest results. I have a uta and on 125 mg of Levo

TSH 1.20 (0.25 to 4.2 ) I’m happy with this !!

FT4 14.7 ( 10 to 21 )

FT3 3.9 ( 3.5 to 6.5 )

Endo says everything is fine, funny but I don’t feel fine !!!

PinkF,

I can see that endo may be satisfied with TSH 1.4 which is low-normal but FT4 and FT3 are low in range so there is scope to increase dose to raise them as you don't feel well.

The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.25 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Some patients TSH will become suppressed when higher FT4 and FT3 are achieved.

You need dose increase, have you considered trying this first before NDT, or increasing T4 and adding T3 if FT3 doesn't improve

Essential to get vitamins perfect first, either way

Hi, yes I’ve tried raising my does also tried lowering my does as endo said I was over medicated, I also have raised TPO and have read that NDT works quite well in elevating symptoms

If you have raised TPO antibodies then you have autoimmune thyroid disease aka Hashi's which is where antibodies attack the thyroid and gradually destroy it. The antibody attacks cause fluctuations in symptoms and test results.

You can help reduce the antibodies by adopting a strict gluten free diet which has helped many members here. Gluten contains gliadin (a protein) which is thought to trigger autoimmune attacks so eliminating gluten can help reduce these attacks. You don't need to be gluten sensitive or have Coeliac disease for a gluten free diet to help.

Supplementing with selenium l-selenomethionine 200mcg daily can also help reduce the antibodies, as can keeping TSH suppressed.

Also, Hashi's and gut/absorption problems go hand in hand and very often low nutrient levels are the result. You need to test Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin.

Thanks, I have taken out of my diet recently, so have been gluten free for only 3 months, have yet to feel the benefits.

I do take selenium, B12 Spray and also Tumeric.

My vit D was 79.6 >75 optimum

B12. 387 180. - 2000

Folate 8.6 1.5 - 20.0

Ferritin 295 13 - 150

Thanks for sharing the links
