I'd get a new blood test and ask GP for TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and antibodies. Blood tests have to be at the earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose and test and take afterwards. This helps keep the TSH at its highest as doctors are apt to take notice of TSH alone and adjust hormones unnecessarily.

Hello! I also have Hashimoto & now have a 4mth old baby. My GP advised that I didn't need to alter my meds in early pregnancy but the endocrinologist at the hospital advised an increase to bring down TSH to 1. So I was initially on the wrong dose at the start of my pregnancy, and baby is fine. I do completely understand your concern.

Perhaps contact a midwife & find out if you can have an appointment/ telephone appointment with an endocrinologist at your local hospital for some advice?

Congratulations on your pregnancy & hope that helps!

Hello! My TSH was 3.2 when they tested me at 12wk scan then increased meds until I was down to TSH 1.5 in second trimester then never tested again till after baby was born. I'm in the uk & all baby's get tested for thyroid on heel prick test at 5days old, we did get extra bloods taken just to be sure,& he's fine!!

Hope that helps!

How are you feeling?

Hope everything is ok- I had a couple of mixed up tests early on, I stopped testing & registered with midwife as soon as I could.

I had so many previous issues that I didn't feel confident in this pregnancy until much further down the line. I can appreciate how tough it it for you. Sending best wishes, if I can help please let me know x

I believe all newborns have a test.
