5 early pregnancy losses and thyroid results

Hello all,

I’m asking for a friend who has had:

39 yo

No children

5 early losses - 2 at 6/7 weeks.

3 chemical pregnancies

2 different partners

Her doctors say her thyroid is fine. Test results from a Superdrug thyroid panel as the NHS does not conduct FT3

She also has fibroids which is what her doctors believe is the issue and will be checked in December.

Could anyone shed some light on the ranges and if they think this could be thyroid related? She was brought up vegan but has been pescatarian for 10+ years.

Please and a huge thank you xx

As vegetarian/vegan…no red meat likely low iron/ferritin/B12

So she must test vitamin D, folate ferritin and B12

Fibroids do apparently increase risk of miscarriage

Fibroids may also increase risk of low iron/ferritin

Those thyroid results look pretty decent and I’d say you can rule out a thyroid issue, so as SlowDragon has suggested, I’d probably want to have a look at Vit B12 / folate / ferritin and Vit D levels next.

Thank you Jazzw. Those have been done. Her vit D was optimal!

What were the actual results and ranges on ferritin, iron, folate and B12

My friend said to send you huge thank you for your help. I have amended the original photo to reflect the results requested. Thank you again

So vitamin D, folate and B12 all good

Ferritin slightly low, but not significantly

Aiming for 70 minimum.

Looking at increasing iron rich foods in diet should improve this

So it doesn’t seem like a thyroid issue

‘Optimal’ depends on who is doing the interpreting. It might be an idea to actually post the number and range for the ‘experts’ on here to interpret.
