My Serum T4 is 14.2 pmol/L and my Serum TSH level is 2.52 mU/L - how do I interpret this ? Can you kindly help? In the past I was misdiagnosed with underactive thyroid which was overruled ?

Tsh a bit high so you probably do have underactive thyroid... it's just not so high that the NHS will diagnose you (you basically have to be crawling on the floor for that to happen!) do you have the ranges for T4? When did you have the test done? Was it first thing in the morning? Did you have any levothyroxine beforehand? Were you even on levothyroxine?

The ranges for T4 as per Report states between 9 and 19 and my bloods show a reading of 14.2 and the ranges for TSH states between 0.35 - 4.94 and my blood shows a reading of 2.52.

These Test were done 2 weeks ago and this was done firs thing in the morning. When I was misdiagnosed on the thyroid levels I was put on levothyroxine and immediately pulled off in 3 days as I developed extreme side effects with it. Further i was told the levels given to me was too high. Now I am not on any meds but under observation.

So how do I interpret this ?

Well really it's about how u feel... do you feel good off meds? Not tired, achey or foggy headed etc? Most people feel good with tsh around 1 and T4 near top of range. You should keep in mind that outside the uk you would be diagnosed with underactive thyroid with a tsh of 3. I would look at the thyroid uk website they have a symptom checker... if you don't have symptoms then it's all good, your results don't look terrible in terms of a blood test but personally I feel god awful with tsh of 3 so there is some variation between people...were you not on medication with the latest blood tests then?

When I was misdiagnosed on the thyroid levels I was put on levothyroxine and immediately pulled off in 3 days as I developed extreme side effects with it.

What were your results at that time?

What dose of Levo were you started on?

Some people do have side effects with Levo, it can be fillers so trying a different brand can help. If all tablet forms of Levo cause side effects then there's liquid Levo that can be tried.

Further i was told the levels given to me was too high.

Level of what was too high?
