I have no thyroid and feeling crap. Went to the doctor, told him all of my symptoms and blood test results came up with no action required. I have asked for blood test to be sent to me. I just feel like there's no help for me here.
Can you pm me where can I get reliable source of t3.
I'm desperate. I need to try something.
Thanks

What is the TSH result? No action doesn't mean that the TSH result is optimal. You really need to know what your TSH, FT4 and FT3 results are to estimate how much T3 to add to Levothyroxine and to decide whether you need to reduce Levothyroxine dose. You can order private thyroid tests via thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
If yr in UK look at recommended endos on thyroid uk and ask gp to refer you. Prob best to try to get t3 prescribed first as then they will monitor you.
You could also post yr blood test results here as maybe some action is needed as you may be low normal in some and it might help you to be higher in range in some of them.
Thyroid uk site has special offers for private blood testing if you really can't persuade yr gp to do the tests you need. Yr tsh is in range but if you hve symptoms t4 and t3 should be tested along with b12 folate ferritin vit d calcium. Personally I'd feel dreadful with yr tsh level but everyone's different. As you have no thyroid I'd insist on seeing a consultant (and do yr research first as to a good one)
Some people do source t3 themselves but from what I've read that path is not without its problems. Im currently trying to get a t3 trial with a new endo as personally id prefer it to be prescribed if possible so I can be monitored. However It's all a question of how bad and desperate you feel, I'm 2 1/2 yrs post tt and getting pretty fed up of not being well.
Thank you for your reply mrsm49. I'm feeling crap that's why I requested t3 and t4 test from my gp but he said he can just do the tsh. That only endo can get that tests done. Now I'm in a process of getting endo referral hopefully. I had tt done in Nov 2015 and have never felt good since.
Another appointment with doctor on Friday. Let's see if I manage to achieve something.
Im just about hanging onto 150 levo as my tsh 0.01
Crazy frustrating situation when they want to reduce yr medication because of bloods regardless of symptoms.
I've had enough now , even hubby has come around (originally he kept saying docs know best but he can see how much I'm struggling and is worried)
I read alot of posts here and people do seem to eventually get better either with gp/endo help or on their own but it does seem to take alot of perseverance and time.
