Evening All! I just noticed these tablets available in the UK. Has anyone tried them at all please? I am aware that they are only 15mg tablets so for most of us we would need to take a fair few on a daily basis. All the blurb is below. Any comments would be interesting. Thank you all.

I was prescribed this NDT by a private doctor and I see that 'Dr P' has prescribed it for one of his patients. It is OTC but I have a feeling that it may not stay that way. Personally, I hope it does stay OTC.

I like the fact it has no nasty fillers.

When my doctor prescribed it I told him about some of the comments on here saying it is not 'proper' NDT. He assured me it was and said he would not prescribe if it was not.

As far as I know from reading this forum, 'Dr P' is a well respected thyroid doctor and I expect he too would not prescribe if it were no good.

An equivalent that people seem to accept as being 'proper' NDT, but is also OTC, is ThyroGold.

For Metavive 15mg is equivalent to 1/4 grain, 30mg 1 grain, 60mg 2 grains.

I started in 15mg twice a day, increasing by 15mg every two weeks. I got up to 120mg but had a hyper blood test result so have reduced back down to 75mg a day.

My problem is that I have low cortisol which I have been told needs to be sorted out. I am taking Adenavive II for that but no real change yet.

Myself and son, using the brand. So far no problems, again was suggested by Dr P as unable to source Nutri. (Suspect fact that struggling to import products and some being held up by customs at airport, couple of months ago, may be tip of another iceberg - sign of things to come maybe....pessimistic - yep)

Hi - I was taking Nutrithyroid to supplement 150 Levo and have replaced it with Metavive III since availability dried up. III is the bovine version. So far so good... x

What dosage of Metavive III are you taking, and are you using it to replace the levo?

Hello taking a single 32.5 mg as well as 150 levo. Hope this helps x

Do you feel this is a sufficient dose? Are you aiming to stop taking Levo and replace with Metavive iii?

I’ve just started metavive ll, it says 80mg. So don’t know what’s that equals too in levo dose. Any advice would be appreciated ☺️

Not on any levo because of side effects and no help from the doctors
