Is this the most useful test, as I think I am changing from hypo thyroid to hyper or fluctuating between the 2.

also have symptoms related to P.A.

I need to have tests to find out what is happening.

I was going to send for the Thyroid test including the 2 a/bodies from blue horizon.

TSH, FT4, FT3, TT4, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies, Thyroglobulin Antibodies, Ferritin, Folate, Vitamin B12 (NOT ACTIVE B12), C Reactive Protein, Vitamin D (25-OH)

Just want to clarify state of thyroid at present

Many thanks

Blue Horizon Thyroid plus Eleven or Medichecks Thyroid Check Ultravit. It's the same test.

Thanks, will this at least tell me what is happening with the thyroid or will I ask for something further from the Dr in the thyroid throat is tight and feels swollen- I feel that something is definitely happening

It's a full thyroid panel, more than your GP can do.

As your throat is tight and feels swollen, it might be an idea to ask your GP to arrange for an ultrasound.

As you think you are fluctuating between hypo and hyper, you could very likely have antibodies (autoimmune thyroid disease) and the antibody attacks will be causing the fluctuations.

If you think you have symptoms relating to PA, have you asked your GP to test you? If not, the vitamin and mineral results will possibly point to it so you can then discuss that with your GP.

I am already diagnosed with PA, again I have had this diagnosis for a number of years, but want to address this issue separately from the thyroid. One thing at a time!
