I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and Graves disease in Nov 2010 my blood test results were then TSH 4.77 FT4 7.0 low FT3 3.0 low no ranges given then . I was then under the hospital and went for blood tests every 6 months, I was also put on Carbimazola. Then my endocrinoogist left and was not replaced in 2016 so I am now under my doctor . my blood test results in September2016 were

TSH 0.37 mu/L 0.27-4.20 FT4 15.9PMO/L 12.00-22.00. FT3 5.1 PM01/L 3.1-6.8 My last blood test was in April 2017 TSH 0.27 MU/L 0.3-5.0 FT4 11.5 PMOl/L 8.4-19.1 FT3 6.0 PMO/L 3.8-6.0 The ranges for TSH seem to have risen since last September so I am now not in range . But my doctor now wants me to have another test in 3 months to see if the TSH goes lower I am on a very low dosage of Carbimazola 5mgs one day then 7 1/2 mgs alternate days. I do not understand what is happening could you please help me?

Corena,

If your FT3 rises >6.0 and TSH drops lower your Carbimazole dose will need to be increased slightly.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. How can you be diagnosed hyper/Graves with a TSH of 4.77. That's hypo, not hyper. Did they test antibodies?

hello GG The first test was in 2010 when my TSH was 4.77, now 0.27. My Antibodies were tested then and were positive 104. Surely I have not been taking Carbimazola for the past 7 years , when medication should have been for the treatment of Hypo? If so could damage have been done? Thank you for your reply.
