can i clean the area around the scar after thyroid surgery with alcohol ?

this is funny and stupid but i only washed it with water but around the area is very dirty can i use alcohol to clean it?

I wouldn't use alcohol to clean my skin because it is so drying. Use soap and water.

There's a wound cleansng soap containing chlorhexidine glauconite 4%. It is antiseptic and antimicrobisl. In the USA, it can be found in the local drugstore/pharmacy. Brand name is Hibiclens. I use a store brand. Works really well.
