My 14 yr old daughter is currently taking liothyronine 5mcg twice a day. Is it possible to quarter the Thybon 20 mcg tablet? I am trying to save on cost. She also takes Eltroxin 100 / 125 alternate days. We are located in Ireland and can get a private RX. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The tablets should be able to be quartered. I quarter my T3. I found a good little tablet cutter (I've had a few) and I'll give you a link:-
This is the one I got but at the very bottom of the page you will see some additional ones:-
I forgot, if you order through Amazon if we use the following Amazon Affiliate Link Thyroiduk.org.uk get a small sum:-
Finngirl210,
I can quarter the 20mcg Mercury Pharma tablets which are tiny with a pill cutter. They aren't always exact quarters but I don't think it matters too much.
Yes you can quarter the Thybon tablets. I bought a packet a few months ago and started off with a 5mcg dose added to Levo by splitting the tablets. There is a single line going down the middle but you can further cut the tablets into quarters. I used this pill cutter which made it easier.
Thanks for the responses. I do a good bit of amazon.co.uk ordering so will certainly add link for shopping!
I cut my T3 into 4 with a pill cutter. which I bought online. I have this kind: amazon.co.uk/Safe-Sound-Loc...
It is slightly fiddly, but it works well.
