Do you have the ranges for the results ? - labs do vary. Were you also tested for B12 - Ferritin - Folate ? All need to be optimal for you to feel well. What is your GP doing about your VERY low VitD ?

Hi thanks for responding my gp didn't check for vit d went to endo who hasn't seen thyroid results yet just vitiam d. He was pretty sure all my symptons were down to video d so low and only did bloods at my instance not due back for 8 weeks on 4000 vit d till then. Tsh 1.480 range 0.27-4.2 T4 12.9 range 12-22 T3 4.5 range 3.1-6.6 sodium 138 range 135-145 . Out of work since January as some days can't get out of bed 😂

Am guessing the others will be low too - so it's not just the VitD causing your symptoms.

Maybe when all your vitamins and minerals are optimal your thyroid results will improve. Thyroid anti - bodies need testing to rule out Hashimotos.

Are you supplementing high doses of vitamin D? No wonder you're feeling awful.

B12 levels? Should be over 600,

Folate and Ferritin?

Annemarie. I would advise that you search this place for information on Vitamin D. If you are that low, 4000 may not be enough to bring your levels up by a long stretch. However, I am not really qualified to make suggestions. From what I read, coupled with my own experience, you may need to look at higher doses for a period of time.

I was put on 10,000IU per day for first month after finding Vit D deficiency, and 1000IU/Day after. NHS guidelines state similar doses as treatment.

Don't forget to also ask for thyroid antibodies to rule out Hashimotos.

I'd put money on your B12 being low too. Hopefully endo will get on the case and do other tests for you. You should feel much better in a few months once supplementing vitamins.

There's always private testing if you get no joy.
