Wendypartridge,

Those results look likely to be within normal range. You were overmedicated on Carbimazole to have TSH 2.34 and FT4 8.01 is low and may have been below range. If you can post the lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after the results) that will enable us to be sure.

I feel tired and foggy but because of these results my doctor has told me to start on 5mg of carb again I am so confused I thought after RAI i would go under and stay under ranges tsh ( 0,5 to 5) t4 (9-21)

Wendypartridge,

Your latest results aren't hyperthyroid and you were over medicated previously to have FT4 below range. RAI usually causes hypothyroidism within a year but it may increase hyperthyroidism initially as thyroid cells die off and dump hormone.

Wendypartridge,

Yes and No. I don't think so from the results but if you were taken off Carbimazole prematurely and your FT4 is rising and you feel better on 5mg then it would be the right thing.
