Your TSH is a little lower than your last one but it does vary throughout the 24 hours, i.e. highest early a.m. and dropping throughout the day.

Your FT4 is low and should be towards the top part of the range.

The most import, FT3 hasn't been checked. I shall give you a link and you can read why these two Frees are important.

If you are in the UK, the 'wise' have decided that the TSH has to reach 10 before we are diagnosed, which is ridiculous if we've got debilitating symptoms. Symptoms were the criteria before the blood tests were introduced, so I think lots of people suffer unnecessarily due to only taking the TSH into account.

I assume you know blood tests should be taken at the very earliest possible, fasting and if you were on thyroid hormones you'd allow 24 hours gap before the test and take them afterwards. Hormones should be taken first thing with one full glass of water and wait about an hour before eating. Or last thing at bedtime as long as your last meal was about 3 hours before.

Andersonjane,

Your TSH is high in range which indicates your thyroid is struggling. FT4 is at the low end of range. NHS won't usually diagnose hypothyroidism until TSH is over range or FT4 below range.
