Hello everyone, I haven't posted for a while. Have tried a different diet in an attempt to heal my leaky gut but not convinced it is having much effect. So my next step is to source T3. Reason being in spite of almost zero TSH (GP in a panic) my T4 and T3 are only in lower half of the ranges. I know they need to be near the top. Increases in Levo (I am now on 112.5mcg per day) have no impact. Vits etc are optimal as per guidance on here. I do not have a problem with the D102 gene.
As my daughter is going to Greece next month I am hoping she will be able to buy some T3 for me. I would be grateful for suggestions as to what brand to buy and whether it is readily obtainable. Thanks in advance for your help
PS thanks to everyone over the last 4 years that has helped me get this far. Things are a lot better but I keep running out of steam!

My apologies if you are familiar with this but have you read the does and don'ts on the Thyroid Uk site? I'm just wondering if your TSH is rock bottom because your body knows it is getting meds but for some reason it's not getting the benefits, something else is nullifying it.
All pharmacies in Greece stock T3 by UniPharma. Pharmacists speak perfect English - but in case you are offered Tea Tree Oil - Taff Dria - are the words for T3 Usually stocks are around 2/3 boxes but you can order whatever you need and will be delivered within 24 hours from the distribution warehouse. You can google the product and download a picture - its a pink and white box. Each tab is 25mcg . Take it easy and do not expect miracles ....
Hubby just returned from the village and the Pharmacy only had one box of T3. When trying to order he was told there is currently a problem and Pharmacist did not know when they would be having any. We have only had this problem once in the Summer in the past - when the factory was on holiday and the visitors were here buying up the stocks we do have in the warehouse
Am surprised I didn't notice those big ears lolloping along from Chemist to Chemist You may need protection on your next trip - from hunters - I'm your gal
I wore two layers of down, thermals & a fleece to keep me nice & warm. All were removed on the day I left. I'm still in the habit of hypo dressing, after only two self-warmed winters, & have to keep peeling layers off.
Yes I was advised by a naturopathic nutritionist and have been taking a good probiotic but can't say I have noticed any benefits. Thanks for your help.
I'd heard the opposite. Some strains upset me saccromyces Boulardi in particular.
Phinaturals 10/30 has been great, put a few people I know on it who've been struggling with bowels and all done well.
We are all so different though but may be worth another shot.
The collagen powder has been brilliant though and if I eat gluten by mistake there's much less of a reaction since I added to my diet. Aparantly helps to heal permeable places in the gut lining.
Kefir is on my list of things to try. I can only try one thing at a time as I have a number of food intolerances and only just found out it is possible to get dairy free kefir. I had kefir many years ago and had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder
I found the big thing to fix my gut problems was to avoid yeast. It can make life a little difficult as I have to read every label as yeast is hidden in everything. It means no bread, soup made with yeast free stock. It makes going gluten free easier as you find so many gluten products also have yeast. I tried eating gluten free bread in the early days and couldnt understand why I still felt bad and discovered it was the yeast. Yeast causes leaky gut esp if an overgrowth turns to candida. I also use probio 7 x
