Think we need blood results to see what your current levels are before we can suggest how to adjust or t4 and t3.

Probably swapping over gradually would be more gentle, or trying a different NDT that suits you better.

I swap ratios between summer & winter, & feel best doing this over a month or so in spring & autumn.

If I remember correctly isn't your ferritin very low? If this is the case you will not feel great and you need to get your levels up before you think thyroid S is not working. I am not trying to be critical but you do need to have all your vitamins at a optimal level for you to feel better. You do know low ferritin levels can cause hair loss and make you feel very unwell and I know this because I have had low ferritin in the past.

Here are some of the symptoms of low ferritin ( I had hair loss when mine was too low)

unexplained fatigue.

dizziness.

chronic headaches.

unexplained weakness.

ringing in your ears.

irritability.

leg pains.

shortness of breath.

Without test results, including ranges, it is impossible to suggest dosage.

Poor conversion is indicated by high FT4 and low FT3, many of us have a thyroid genetic test which will show, or not, the Dio2 polymorphism which can impair conversion but FT tests suffice unless you wish to know if the cause is heterozygous of homozygous....the latter impairs conversion more than the former.

For good conversion vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin need to be optimal.

As you will know T3 is a very potent hormone and needs to be treated with respect.

Are you possibly overmedicating?

Are you changing doses too frequently...it takes about 6 weeks for the body to adjust to a dose change?

I'm afraid we need to see TSH, FT4 and FT3 results plus those for nutrients listed above.

Suggesting dosage/treatment without those results would not be responsible....or safe.

Please keep us posted.

From previous blood tests your T3 is 62.5% into range so although it could be higher you will need to take care. I think perhaps the below range T4 may not suit you. Perhaps adding a little levo will help. Not everyone does well with low T4. Personally I become unwell in levo only after forty years of ndt. I am a poor convert or having never got beyond 5% into T3 range even on 500mcg of levo. I take 4.5 grains of ThyroidS daily and feel not too bad. Have not had a blood test for about six months. Been on Thyroid S for a couple of months when I could no longer get TR man. It was really easy on digestive system.

We are all very different how were you bloods on previous ndt? Did they show higher T3 and the same under range T4?

Perhaps checking previous results will indicate whether T3 only is best for you. Good luck
