Im new to this sight I went to the Dr. feeling so unwell he said he would do a blood test to test for underactive thyroid the test came back SerumTSH level (XaELV) is 3.02 is this test good to rule out thyroid problems as when i looked on your sight my simptoms fit and now am at a lose.

annford A TSH of 3.02 shows your thyroid is struggling but it's not high enough for a diagnosis, it has to be over range for that (what is the range?) and some doctors wait until it reaches 10.

You really need a full thyroid panel which is

TSH

FT4

FT3

TPO antibodies

TG antibodies

You are unlikely to get them all done by your GP do you could get them done privately with a fingerprick test from Blue Horizon or Medichecks - details here thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
