My TSH, T4 and FT3 blood tests were normal but my thyroid antibodies were 464.
I am looking for a Doctor who is happy to treat going by the results of the thyroid antibodies.
I have requested a list from Loiuse but don't know which doctors will treat on this basis. I noticed that most of them carry out urine tests which are supposed to be more sensitive and likely to show a difference in the range but what if my tests remain within range?
Any personal recommendtions of doctors willing to treat based on antibody results would be appretiated.

There is no cure or treatment for Hashimoto's. Levothyroxine is the treatment for the hypothyroidism eventually caused by Hashimoto's. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies and will delay progression to hypothyroidism.
Dr Toft ex President of the BTA recommends that if we have antibodies, levo should be prescribed to 'nip things in the bud'. Email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org.uk for a copy of the Pulse Online article and within it you will see he recommends levo if we have antibodies.
