So I have all of a sudden developed aches and shooting pains up both hands and arms. I have also noticed my grip has become compromised. Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be down to Vit D deficiency or the new T3 only regime?

A few years back I developed lots of tightness and aches and pains in my arms and legs. The grip in my right arm is also not good at times. I saw lots of physios and they all recommended plenty of targeted stretching. This all helped me feel less tight but I spent a large amount of time stretching morning and evening. In the long run stretching makes you weaker and more prone to injury. The real cause for my tightness and pain was stress, both physical and emotional. I also ended up with a stand up desk at work. I still haven't cured my tightness but I atleast know why it happened. I think other people here will tell you that being deficient in those vital nutrients will also make this worse. Not to mention being undermedicated.
Yes I have a stand up desk, but found I couldn't use it so I am back to sitting for the time being. Interesting to hear about the stress especially with recent cortisol levels. Thank you Serendipitious R x
Sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome which is common in low thyroid but could also be due to vitD deficiency. If you've been taking T3 for more than 6 weeks you could check thyroid levels and vitD.
Thanks, Clutter . Yes last bloods for thyroid and vit D show low in both. Am doing another round on Wednesday. Hopefully, will have at least managed to raise T3. Mum thinks it could be CTS as well. Will have to look more into it as I don't really know much about it. R x
I had a few loading ones around August last year then another two weeks ago - so now I am going to be having one once a month. Do you think that will be ok? Have also developed a pain in the jaw while eating predominantly under the right ear could that be related? R x
I have often thought that carpel tunnel can be mimicked by fluid from being under medicated pressing on the radial and ulnar nerves giving the same symptoms. When I visited Dr Dkinner the first thing he did was to feel my forearms to see if any swelling on the front of my forearms.
I'm sure more B12,will help but have you any recent bloods and ranges you can post?
Just looked at your results and profile. Good you have been given T3. I thought Vit D B12 and folate low but hopefully when you get those higher and get settled with T3 then you will see and feel some improvement. It can take a while I'm afraid.
