I am now 79, and despair of my new collection of doctors since I moved home last year.
I am sweating a lot mainly at night, gained lots of weight, hense hard to walk..I was taken fro 150 levo down to 100 earlier this year and despite the usual blood results showing (within range)....mm, does anyone think I should insist on increasing my meds, or is the sweating something else ?
Help and advice much appreciated.

Hi Sam, why was your dose reduced? And why by such a huge amount? A dose change needs about six weeks to feel an effect, so if you have only just adjusted it you may not notice the difference yet. Sweating is usually linked with over-active thyroid and can be a symptom of other conditions. Your doctors don't sound great, but have you mentioned this symptom to them.
Did you ever get hold of your thyroid blood test results? I think you said you were going to try to get them in your last post.
I think it's very possible you're undermedicated and/or you're suffering nutritional deficiencies, e.g., low ferritin, low Vit D and/or low Vit B12. When we're undermedicated levels of those things tend to plummet.
