Blood test results

I have some symptoms of hypothroidism including fatigue, severe palpitations, very low

temperature and recent blood tests showed high potassium and hypoglycaemia.

My thyroid results show T4 -11 (10-25)

FT3-5 (4-7)

TSH-1.7(.55-4.78)

My GP says that I defo dont have a thyroid problem.

Any advice much appreciated.Thanks

Coatesworth100,

Thyroid results are euthyroid (normal) but FT4 is low in range so I would retest in 6 months. If FT4 is below range with low-normal TSH your GP should consider secondary rather than primary hypothyroidism. Arrange an early morning and fasting (water only) blood draw when TSH is highest.

High potassium can cause fatigue and palpitations google.co.uk/search?q=high+...

Your previous post asking similar- advice given to get a full thyroid and vitamin test via private test - Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven - a full panel including vit D costs £99

This is an easy to do fingerprick test you do at home, post back and they email results to you couple of days later.

Usual advice on ALL thyroid tests, (home one or on NHSu) is to do early in morning, ideally before 9am. No food or drink beforehand (other than water) If you are taking Levo, then don't take it in 24 hours before (take straight after). This way your tests are always consistent, and it will show highest TSH, and as this is mainly all the medics decide dose on, best idea is to keep result as high as possible
