Comments on latest thyroid blood test results

Just had my latest test results - TSH 3.38 and Free T4 16.6 The previous results were 5.07 and 13.3 I'm currently taking 5mg Carbamazepine every other day. Not due to see my consultant until February 2017 but feel things aren't quite right!! Comments would be appreciated. Thanks

i would suggest ringing the consultants secretary to get in earlier?

You are slightly over medicated which is making you hypo. Contact your endo and ask whether you can reduce dose to 2.5mg daily.

I'm on the equivalent of 2.5mg per day - only smallest dosage tablet is 5mg - so I take one every other day!!!

I would contact your endo to see whether 5mg every second day is acceptable or whether you can discontinue taking it.

I think I will contact her. The problem in the past has been that when I stop the medication completely, my thyroid goes in to overdrive!!!!!!

It may be that 5mg once or twice a week is sufficient.
