Swelling of the face

Hey guys,

I go up and down with my face swelling up. Today woke up looking like a potatoes head. Why? I was 4 days without my NDT as run out. could it be that? I also started working out with weights the past 2 weeks. And lastly. I have hight all day cortisol. Could it be this? I am so puffy

Puffiness is a clinical symptom of hypothyroidism. Going 4 days without meds is not a good idea.

Also 'working out with weights' might not be such a good idea either if you aren't yet on an optimum of thyroid hormones as exercising reduces our T3 which is required in all of our receptor cells in order for us to function- so no wonder we get exasperated.

Oh great! So I'm a yellow potatoe head. As my skin is yellow too. Thanks for the reply. At least it'll get better hopefully with regular NDT and I might increase the dose. I look 10 years older when like this. Hate it haha

Don't worry too much. When on the proper dose and proper hormones that suit you and at an optimum dose you should be back to 'normal'.

Thank you. I'm sure it'll get better. I'm just impatient. But i know that's not the right attitude
